Zaur Partners
The partner agreement, in plain English.
This is how working with us as a partner works: what you do, what we do, how you get paid and how it ends. It’s a summary to read before you sign. The signed partner agreement is what counts, and if the two ever disagree, the signed agreement wins.
The deal.
You bring us a problem an industry has and the relationships to sell the fix. We build the product, own it, host it and run it. Every business you sign pays us a monthly subscription, and you earn 30% of it, every month, for as long as that business stays subscribed and you remain a partner in good standing.
30% is the starting rate. It can go up as you bring in more businesses. It doesn’t go down on businesses you’ve already signed.
The gate.
During your onboarding we build a working demo of the product, shaped by what you tell us about the industry. You take it to businesses you know.
Before we build the full product, you bring back three signed letters of intent: one-page letters from businesses saying they’d subscribe at an agreed price once it’s ready. No money changes hands at this stage. For lower-priced products we may ask for a few more; for bigger ones, three is plenty. If you can’t get three, neither of us owes the other anything, and we work out together whether it was the problem, the price or the pitch.
Who owns what.
Zaur owns the product: the code, designs, demos, data structures and everything built from your ideas and feedback. That’s what lets us pay for the build ourselves. When you share an idea that goes into the product, you agree that the rights in it pass to us.
Zaur holds the customer contracts. Businesses subscribe with us, under our Terms, and we invoice them. You’re credited as the partner on every business you sign.
Your own contacts, your own business and anything you created before working with us stay yours.
What you do.
Find the businesses, run the demos, follow up and close. You set your own pace. When you sell, describe the product as it actually is: no promises about features that don’t exist yet, no discounts or special terms unless we’ve agreed them in writing, and no guarantees of results.
You’re an independent contractor, not an employee. You need an ABN, you look after your own tax and expenses, and you can’t sign contracts on Zaur’s behalf.
What we do.
Build the product, host it, support every business on it, and handle onboarding, contracts and billing. We give you the demo, sales materials and a partner dashboard where you can see your pipeline, your clients and your earnings.
Getting paid.
Commission is worked out each month on the subscription fees we’ve actually received from businesses you signed, excluding GST. We pay it by the 14th of the following month, with a statement showing where every dollar came from. If a business doesn’t pay us, or gets a refund, there’s no commission on that amount.
Playing fair.
Tell us if you’re working with a competing product, or if you have a personal or financial interest in a business you’re signing. Keep what we share with you confidential, including product plans, pricing and client details. Partnering is non-exclusive unless we agree otherwise in writing.
How it ends.
Either of us can end the partnership with 30 days’ written notice. If you leave in good standing, we keep paying your commission on the businesses you signed for as long as they stay subscribed.
If the partnership ends because you’ve seriously broken the agreement, such as misrepresenting the product to customers or misusing confidential information, commission stops from that date.
This page is a plain-English summary, not legal advice and not the agreement itself. Partners sign a full written agreement before onboarding. Questions? partners@zaur.com.au
Know an industry?
Bring us the problem. We’ll build the demo, you get the three letters, and we take it from there.
